Dear community members and friends,

You are invited to join me at the Stone Mountain Park for a fun walk/run/march. Everyone is welcome to go the full distance with me or at your own pace.  I am going for the full marathon length of 26.2 miles, 5 laps around Stone Mountain itself.  This could be a journey of a lifetime if you so choose.  The initial purpose of this march is to thank those who’ve served.  It is with deepest gratitude and respect  that I partake this trip, a tribute, to one group in particular, the Royal Lao Veteran Association of America. www.royallaoveteran.org Their services given to the country of my birth have not gone unnoticed nor forgotten.

I will be carrying a backpack weighing at least 35 lbs of non perishable can food items including my own drinking water, etc.  Canned Food items are to be donated to the local food bank after the march.  Everyone please bring at least 35 lbs. worth of non perishable canned food of your own to be donated.  Carrying them on your back is not required nor shall you be obligated to run/walk/march, your donation and show of support is greatly appreciated on this memorial day. The park opens at 6 am.  It is when I will start marching.  It takes me approximately 1 hr. to complete one trip around.  You choose the time you want to come out to observe this moment in history.

The reception will be at a selected restaurant (Dim Sum), to gather all the canned food items, and to enjoy each other’s company for the remainder of the day.

Remember the Laotian veterans! Pride and Honor!
